Zou Shizhen
Dean of Beijing Zaofuju Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Director of Shanghai Bubo Technology Consulting Center
Mr. Zou graduated from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in 1996. During the school study, he was very sensitive to the conflict between Chinese medicine and modern science, as well as the current situation that Chinese medicine has only conclusions without reasoning process, or the logic of the reasoning process is rough. Under the enlightenment of philosophy of science, he recognized the nature of science and the relationship between Chinese and Western medicines and sorted out the traditional Chinese medicine theory with a strict logical system that can truly guide clinical practice from the numerous ancient Chinese medicine books.
In 1999, he published an article "On the Formation, Revival and Development of the Theoretical System of Traditional Chinese Medicine" in the "Shanghai Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine", marking the completion of his theoretical system of Chinese medicine. After nearly 20 years of clinical practice, a perfect medical system has been formed, which has transformed traditional Chinese medicine from semi-academic and semi-witchcraft to real academic. Under the guidance of the logic theory of TCM organized by him, TCM practitioners can analyze the imbalance of the patient ’s body according to the complete body state model. Therefore, whether it is a cold or the "incurable disease" considered by ordinary people, the correct treatment plan can be formed by accurately analyzing the patient's physical state. As long as the physical state does not develop to the brink of collapse, in theory, it can be cured.
Clinical practice has proved that diseases such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, gout, congenital glaucoma, rheumatoid arthritis, etc., are not lifelong diseases considered by the public that one can only control indicators or symptoms. In clinical practice, a patient with drug-induced deafness for more than 40 years recovered hearing by correcting body state.
For viral diseases such as flu and herpes zoster, it is not a course of "recovering in seven days no matter taking medicine or not ". By accurately judging the state of the body, the treatment method is appropriate, and the improvement is obvious within half an hour after taking the medicine in the fastest cases. Herpes zoster does not have sequelae such as neuralgia. Within a day or two of proper treatment, the pain disappears when the herpes is not absorbed. For diseases such as cancer caused by a long-term serious body imbalance, although it is difficult to completely reverse in actual treatment, by slightly correcting the body imbalance, the patient's quality of life can be greatly improved, and the patient's life length can be extended.
In 2010, a free lecture on "What is Traditional Chinese Medicine" was held on the Internet, which was warmly welcomed, and a written "A Record of Chinese Medicine Era Lectures" (now available for free download on the Internet). In 2015, he published the book "What is Chinese Medicine", systematically elaborated the basic theoretical knowledge of Chinese medicine, (to help more people, the electronic version has been published in 2019 for patients, students and Chinese medicine enthusiasts to download). Starting from 2016, “Zou Shizhen’s Elementary Class of Practical Chinese Medicine Training--‘The greatest truths are the simplest’” has been held for four periods, training more than 400 people, students from Chinese and Western hospitals, colleges, scientific research institutes, state organs, courts, financial institutions, technology companies, etc. After systematic learning and training, most students have been able to deal with common diseases at home.
Zou Shizhen believes that the purpose of medicine is to cure diseases and maintain human health. If it can’t serve human health better, it should be eliminated. The only reason to promote Chinese medicine is that it can serve human health better than other medicines. Other reasons are not valid.
Zou Shizhen hopes that by popularizing the basic concepts of Chinese medicine, everyone will realize what is Chinese medicine, its strengths and weaknesses, how to understand the conflicts in thinking between Chinese and Western medicine, under what circumstances should choose Chinese medicine to solve the problem, what is a good Chinese medicine practitioner, and one will not let quack doctors misdiagnose. He hopes to help more people establish a correct value of life, health and disease, and truly take responsibility for their own health.
